Position Summary
The Custodial Supervisor assists the Custodial Manager with supervision of custodial employees.
Essential Functions
- Assists Custodial Manager with supervision of custodial employees.
- Performs building inspections ensuring departmental procedures.
- Promotes prompt corrective action in handling complaints.
- Responsible for staff training and development.
- Modifies staffing, materials, equipment, schedules, and procedures for improvement.
- Manages all working schedules and attendance including overtime and time-off.
- Coordinates special projects and working assignments.
- Responsible for inventory control of equipment and supplies.
- Coordinates and oversees custodial functions ensuring cleanliness and staffing for University events.
- Responsible for exterior grounds and snow removal.
- Performs other duties as assigned, including providing administrative support to the office of Facilities and Campus Operations.
- Is on call for emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in campus/custodial operations.
- One year experience in a supervisory position managing staff.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Power Point, Excel, and Access.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- One year of which shall be in a supervisory position managing staff.
- Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with databases and CMMS
Minimum Starting Salary: $60,000
Maximum Starting Salary: $69,000
Note: Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
